The CRC nursing unit involves a team of experienced and dedicated nurses who are specifically trained in assisting the research team during the implementation of approved clinical trials, while providing research participants with the highest standards in quality of care.

CRC Nursing Staff
CRC research nurses are highly trained to perform studies that involve different levels of complexity, from simple data collection to more complex assessment of the overall clinical condition of study subjects. CRC nursing staff is trained to provide volunteers and patients for information concerning their rights and responsibilities as research subjects; they also provide detailed information for protocol-specific procedures such as questionnaire completion. The nursing stuff also assists with drug administration, diet records, scheduling of appointments, and other medical procedures.

The nursing staff is coordinated by the CRC Head Nurse who manages and overviews all the procedures involved in both non-invasive and invasive sample collection. Prior to the study initiation, the Head Nurse schedules a conference with the CRC nursing staff, the Study Coordinator and the Principle Investigator to completely review the specifics of the study (hypothesis, protocols, nursing requirements, sampling requirements).

At the CRC, the staff work schedule presence varies depending on number of implemented studies, number of volunteers and/or patients admitted, and the level of required nursing. Under ordinary circumstances, the CRC nursing stuff will cover activities from 8 (AM) to 3 (PM).
