The Clinical Epidemiology unit closely collaborates with the Biostatistics and Informatics unit and advises the departments of Oncology, Cardiovascular Disease and Neurology, in the set up of randomised controlled trials, cohort and (diagnostic) case-control studies. In addition, it performs meta-analyses and meta-epidemiological research, mainly in the field of cardiovascular disease. It further enforces international collaboration with related groups, to increase the participation and initiation of multicenter trials.
